“I got a personal best total score. I’m overall quite satisfied with the result of this competition. Of course, not everything was perfect, but this season was really long and really good, and I finished on a good note. There’s definitely more to improve and implement in the future, more to show the world.”

On specific elements and quads:
“Today, the quad lutz was definitely one of the best ones. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep it up with the quad sal after. Probably I was so excited, but it is what it is. It’s part of the game, part of the learning process. Over time, I will learn how to do many quads in the program.”

On his season overall:
“At the beginning of this season, I wouldn’t have believed it—coming from last year, not qualifying for the free skate, then getting eighth at Europeans, going to the Olympics, and doing that short program at the Olympics. It just seemed impossible. It’s so cool, and it’s definitely a good statement for the future.”

On upcoming competitions and recovery:
“I still have to skate Ukrainian Nationals in one and a half weeks, but I will take it rather calmly, with a little bit of reduced content. I’m not sure yet if my dad will be able to make it to the Nationals, but we’ll try our best. After that, I’ll recover and prepare for the next season.”

On rule changes and technical panel:
“I went to the technical panel meeting yesterday. The changes for next season are mostly positive—like reducing one jump, making more room for choreography, and improving quality, landings, and interesting elements. I’m okay with those changes. But decreasing 30 seconds of the program, in my opinion, just compresses the program without reason. Events are pretty much sold out this year; audiences are hyped, mostly on streaming, so we don’t need to fight for attention. Communication is key, and athletes’ opinions should be considered because we’re the ones skating.”
