Now just think, if any one of them vanish in crowd, will he/she can be easily identified as non Indian ?

Although the avenue was named after Hasan Shaheed Suhrawardy, who was Hussain the Butcher Suhrawady's uncle, it was still a matter of shame because the Suhrawardy family was a loyalist of the British.

Hasan Shaheed was particularly a British loyalist; he possibly acted as a spy of the British in Russia during the Russian Revolution, and therefore removing his disgraceful name "Suhrawardy" from the face of Kolkata & rechristening the avenue as Gopal Mukherjee Road is an eminently fitting act.
