@nr147@ryanmouquegolf Sportsmen just seem to be built different. Look at Andy Murray, Jimmy Bullard and a lot of the other football players. I think Neil’s progress slightly outdoes the former though because he is still a pro snooker player and I assume still dedicating hours of practice on the baize.
@paulsanders87@ZackKorman Totally agree. I’ve had some nightmare scenarios with partners. A normal org would terminate them immediately, but like you say whilst the pockets are being filled, nothing will ever change.
@Artemisapphire@BBCNews Agreed. Interesting times ahead. Feel that this is going to really bite some companies who think this is going to replace workforces.
Business owners don’t need excuses to cut costs (look at musk with Twitter/X). It’s more likely, AI based agents are more efficient than humans and processes can be very repeatable etc. we are not talking copilot finding an email here, this type of AI is far more advanced. No matter what the reason, still doesn’t answer the question, if people don’t have money, then who’s going to buy the products that these companies are making? Someone mentioned UBI which, as an end game is more likely but what about this interim period of uncertainty?
There has to be a middle point to all this though, right? Pre-AI > Need people
During-AI > Need fewer people, people lose jobs, cant afford services that AI replaced. < the now
Post-AI > everything is free, I no longer need a plumber etc? how will it all work? Surely basic economics dictate that, at the present time, its not sustainable? AI as a tool to assist is great and pretty much how it was sold to us but in a short space of time, we are seeing significant job losses.
@VERTAFACE Yeah that’s not number 1 that got destroyed, that’s still the main guitar. He actually uses the clone that Gibson did on stage and leaves that one in the studio. Watch Noel on @thatpedalshow on YouTube, it’s a brilliant watch
