I was a young carer. I looked after my mum and sometimes my sister as well. I was late a lot.
10 minute detention if you were late, 3 lates and you got an hour the following week.
"You need to be responsible."
No. I had responsibilities coming out my ears. What I needed was help.

Found out this morning that I'm graduating with a 2:1 from the University of Winchester! Aside from my academic progression, university has been one of the most rewarding times in my life. I'm so glad for the incredible friends I've made, and the opportunities I was given 💜✨
