Fun, joy, but also overcoming sadness and frustration. I still remember getting my Gamecube at the age of 8. I wanted Super Smash Bros Melee, my parents got me Pikmin because they thought Smash was too violent
I was old enough to understand that pikmins weren't alive, yet I felt remorse when my choices ended up in the necessary death of some of them, in a way, it was a way more mature and psychological process than Smash Bros
NO other medium could achieve something like that
And then people would rather make videogames interactive movies, because their reference to what's art and what's not is misguided.
