most gay men have at least ONE woman who means the absolute world to them. a best friend, mother, sister, celebrity, whoever. our relationship with women and femininity can be so deeply intertwined with our queer experience, especially when femininity was one of the things that gave us comfort growing up

i love my female friends so much it's actually insane. i would go to WAR for these women. sometimes a gay man's love for a woman is admiration, friendship, solidarity, protection, and "touch her and i'll kill you" energy
