In my opinion, no one was defended harder and more consistently than Kobe. His era was full of the taller and athletic strong defenders with long wingspans. He faced all the toughest defensive guards of course but what was even more impressive was that Kobe had to constantly go up against the top defending FORWARDS who would have 3-5 inches on him. Kobe was being guarded by Tayshaun Prince, Prime Kawhi, Prime Lebron, Ron Artest, Shawn Marion, Shane Battier, Paul George, Raja Bell, Andrei Kirilenko or even a 7 ft Kevin Durant! The whole league threw ALL of the best taller and stronger defenders at Kobe every game if they could. PLUS DOUBLE TEAMS.

But he prevailed because of his SKILL and mentality. It didn’t matter who you put on him. The players don’t hold him as high as they do because they’re “fans”. Nah, they KNOW how this man was guarded and they saw him go god-mode too many times 🐍
