@ikkartist has just returned from a wintery sejour in the north of Sweden, enjoying the crisp snowy scenery. Time to wind down, and reflect on the year which has passed. Hopes for peace, health, and the joy of creating new work in the studio. The current series inspired by music.

@ikkartist is looking forward to Christmas in the north of Sweden. Long walks in the crisp air and fir trees heavy with snow. The big day is Christmas Eve, Julafton, with Father Christmas before indulging in a magnificent ‘julbord’.

July is here with the Buxton Festival. One of the Fringe venues is Art in The Crescent where @ikkartist will be exhibiting with 14 other members from @PDArtisans. Friday 5th - Sunday 7th 10.00-17.00.

This is the last week of @peakdistrictartisans at @haddonhall Gatehouse Gallery. I will be there tomorrow (and Sunday) bringing some new prints in with me, such as the classic Lud’s Church.

@ikkartist has finished Abode series, which looks at little buildings in the landscape. This story, in 12 chapters, has meandered through the seasons around the Peak District as well as the north of Sweden. This final one is called Sheep Farm, Chapel en le Frith.
