ONLY 11% OF EUROPEANS NOW VIEW US AS AN ALLY, POLL SHOWS
A new survey across 15 European countries shows only 11% now view the U.S. as an ally, down from 22% in late 2024. Most Europeans doubt Washington would defend them if attacked and favor strengthening European defense capabilities. Support is growing for higher military spending, joint EU defense funding, and reducing reliance on U.S. weapons, while confidence in transatlantic ties remains at a record low.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces began launching self-defense strikes against Iran at 5 p.m. ET today at the Commander in Chief’s direction, in response to yesterday’s downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter. The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression.
