A bit daunting, but I wrote my first @tes article which was lucky enough to be published today. Making the case for creativity in the EAL classroom!! Thank you so much @DanWorth https://t.co/wmM39eP0TF
Very shocking:
Israel has just killed Palestinian national team star Suleiman al-Obeid while waiting for aid in Rafah.
I remember hearing his name all the time when the score of matches were announced. He was the top scorer of Gaza in 2016 and 2017. He played mostly for Khadamat al-Shati Club and Gaza Sports Club. He also played al-Amaari FC in the West Bank (2009-2013).
He was named “The Pelé of Palestine.”
RIP.
ITV pulling zero punches in this incredible footage - "This landscape of destruction looks otherworldy, but it's not, it's this world - What is happening may come to define one of its darkest eras, one that casts a stain on humanity, which will endure for generations" #Gaza

It’s troublemakers vs those who want to live in peace and harmony with their neighbours know matter who they are ✌🏽
It seems Starmer’s swift decisive action to deter further violence is working, and the real Britain is back on display tonight with large numbers of peaceful anti fascist gatherings far outnumbering any would-be rioters.

I'm sure plenty of people have used these but they're new to me. Folding frenzy revision sheets. Handy pocket sized (eventually) topic revision sheets. A short 🧵
Teaching history has its dark days… the way lessons fall this year means in one day, I’m teaching Holocaust (Y8), Holodomor (Y10) and atrocities of Partition 1948 (Y12) - all before lunch. #historyteacher wonder if anyone has written about the impact of this on teachers? 🤔
