“With food justice, it’s not just about providing a meal. For us, it’s providing a meal with dignity. It’s a meal that we ourselves would eat.”
Inspiring piece in @Oaklandside highlighting the work being done by @ckoakland1 to feed our community members.👇🏻https://t.co/TTRhNBU2Dw
To kick off Pride month in June, we celebrated with residents of Richmond & neighboring communities at Richmond Rainbow Pride. It was such a joyful & inclusive event, where we reaffirmed the fact that CA will *always* prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our LGBTQ+ community!
Thanks to everyone who came out for our “Crossroads” event this weekend in San Pablo. In collaboration w/community partners, we offered free showers, haircuts, care bags, clothing, hot meals, and connections to services & resources to our unhoused neighbors. It was a great event!

Last night, @cityofelcerrito lost a fearless advocate. Former Councilmember Janet Abelson dedicated 23 years to El Cerrito, working to improve accessibility, address the city’s housing needs, and more. Her work led to the city that stands today. Thank you for your leadership.
