Many thoughts for #MainVaapasAaunga, I can't put them into words. It's the kind of film that stays with you....& changes you. It's not just a story of partition, it's a story of humanity, the plight of refugees &the world's lack of empathy. PLEASE watch before it leaves theaters.
#ImtiazAli released his movie on big screen after 6 years and the wait was worth it. he made such a beautifully crafted movie with amazing camerawork, cinematography, dialogues, screenplay, storyline, direction, acting and music. he literally made a heartbreaking movie.
They should give extra 15 minutes to just sit and sob after Main Vaapas Aaunga. The lights came on and nobody was in a state to be seen and then you get out and are assaulted by noise and daylight as your nose runs. Wtf
it takes guts to make a movie like Main Vaapas Aaunga in the current Bollywood climate + then to come promote it at Wagah-Attari, dedicating the film to the people of Punjab and Bengal. can’t blv we live at a time when honouring the memory of the partition is bravery in itself.
Imtiaz, my friend, So so so happy to see Main Vapas Aaunga. In times when Film Directors, for various reasons, are getting ruthlessly stripped off the most vital virtue of their art form, every frame of your film is soaked in that very virtue. BELIEF!!!
It shatters every syntax of the feeble trade myth of what the audience likes and wants, and stands firm on its sheer soul. Soul so mighty so and yet so vulnerable and endearing.
Such a powerful love story between the story teller and his country.
Dear audience,
This is probably the film you have been waiting and wanting to see in the theaters with your family.
ZINDABAD Dost!!!
I’m not sure if it’s the lack of romance movies coming out of Bollywood now but I really enjoyed #ChandMeraDil. Felt like I was actually watching a Dharma movie after ages. Made me cry too. I loved it! Lakshya needs to sign more movies! 😍
