Congratulations to President Mohamed Nasheed on being elected Chairperson of MDP, and to Meekail Naseem for a strong campaign that showcased the depth of talent within our party. Appreciation as well to the #BoduBadhalu team and all those who worked tirelessly throughout this election.

The election is over; the real work begins. As this government continues to burden people with rising living costs, weakened institutions, and threats to democratic freedoms, MDP must stand united, hold them accountable, and offer the leadership and alternative our country needs.

Let us put our differences aside and focus on the task ahead.
