That was great stuff from Rincon. Served the best ive seen of him at this level in a long while and Gadamauri collapsed out of the blue really after two comfortable holds in the 2nd. Starting with a 0-1 on the predictions. Confident in this one though.
Getting a bit concerning for Mochizuki now. He went into this grass season in horrid form but had outstanding results on this surface last year. Hes now 2/3 on grass however dropping more points against Bertola who's style is proving effective in these quick conditions.
I like talking about tennis a lot, and I previously wrote match previews for a Dutch betting website, so I'd like to combine those two things. I recently started a Tipstrr page and, starting today, I'll be posting a daily match write-up starting with: https://t.co/qfIjJCoHQv
Noguchi hit a ball close to the line on breakpoint.. Linesman called it out, umpire corrected it and gave the point to Noguchi to go a break up and called 3-2. But then Noguchi seemingly gave the point to Jubb. Back at deuce and he held for 3-2 instead. You dont see that often
That one handed backhand of his is one of the best to watch on tour currently.. So so explosive and hes really turned the unforced errors down a notch. His first serve % still gets him at trouble at time but such a explosive and exciting talent. Very winnable match next too.
Take a bow Balshaw! After winning 2 future tournaments b2b without dropping a set he now saves 3 MP's against Galan winning his 14th consecutive match and booking a place in the final of Lyon. Such a fun player to watch and hes learned to be more patience which is paying off.
Would be a tough loss for Dalle Valle. Really enjoyed watching him play and dominated #1 seed Jesper de Jong for 2 straight sets. But after making a poor mistake at the net 3-1 up in the 2nd set tiebreak the Dutchman has roared back with some close calls and is close to the final
Philip Henning is known to farm weaker Futures fields in his home country South Africa. This time he is leveling up however reaching the final of a challenger in SA easily beating Mayot. He will have a very favourable opponent on paper atleast against Alexander Donski
Also shoutout to Donski. Currently you are downing in the amount of youtube channels of players documenting their life and tournaments. Around a decade ago however Donski was one of the first and it was a great insight. Paved the way for many more tennis creators to come.
@Tennispurist_RF 1,5 years is a big injury. Also was a bit confused at the start as at Amersfoort he went by Alexander Maarten de jong. Anyway we have had Dutch players make big jumps at latter stages of their career. A shame he couldnt grab the win last week at his ranking every CH dub is huge.
Wow! What a win for Sander Jong over the struggling Mochizuki who has a great grass record. Funnily enough the first time I saw Jong was in 2021 in the Amersfoort challenger qualifying where he completely outclassed his two opponents as a huge underdog.
Visker's backhand is really poor and got exposed in the rally's in his semi final run. But on grass you can get away with just slicing it mostly just like Tim van Rijthoven did in his run on grass right before his injury. Hard to attack into it.
Great win for Visker over Mcdonald in 's-Hertogenbosch qualifying. The Dutchman was one of the many alternatives. His huge serve helped him to a SF in Ivory coast last month and proves to be very effective on grass.
@Alex_Boroch For sure but that is to be expected for someone with his height and age. Very raw but he seems to be further ahead than similar profiled players ive seen in the past. Uchiyama wasn't having any of it.
Mpetschi Perri scares me.. That power on his serve is bizarre. And hes far from a servebot as well. Dont sleep on his movement for someone that's 2 meters too which we could see in his claycourt runs. How high is his ceiling going to be.
