“The Children of October 7th”❤️‍🩹I was in Israel for the week to film a documentary about children that have been deeply affected by the horrors of October 7th. They were just normal kids that were either taken hostage by terrorists, terrorists destroyed their homes/lives, forced to witness their parents or loved ones get murdered by terrorists, etc. Their lives will NEVER be the same. These are things NO child should EVER have to endure. Although hearing their stories was extremely difficult and heartbreaking, their strength and resilience kept me going. My grandparents were Holocaust survivors. My grandmother was an innocent child who was taken from her home at age 13 . She was forced to Auschwitz, and had to witness and endure the unthinkable. Same applies to these innocent children.

As we approach 10 months since October 7th, I want to spotlight an incredibly important non-profit initiative called the Israeli Children’s Fund that is raising money to support the more than 400 children who lost one or both parents on that brutally awful day.

I was honored to attend a gathering at the Hamptons Synagogue with dear friends of mine to learn more about their mission, and let me tell you, their work for the children of Israel deserves all of our support.

Alma (13) and Noam (17) Or who were held hostage by Hamas on October 7 and released in November are orphans.

Their mother Yonat was murdered on October 7 and their father Dror who was kidnapped has been confirmed as murdered.

His body is being held in Gaza.
