@CliffordStumme That was great. It sounds like you teach a very meaningful class. I wish I had a teacher like you when I was doing the college thing. I bet you would be lot of fun to talk to about ideas in a format that doesn't restrict character counts 😆
@CliffordStumme I'm glad you hit on Chester and Robin. I was immediately thinking of Chester during that song. He had his song, one more light, then suicide. Robin was a catalyst for not condemning suicide. Seems pretty relevant.
@CliffordStumme Yes!!! Also, brought me to tears watching it. It's all an internal fight and I think Tyler is singing to him, reminding him that he is not the ego that has overtaken him. What if the dude in the video is clancy?
@CliffordStumme Twitter is a terrible forum to be able to Express all my thoughts on these songs. But they speak loudly to me about separating flesh from spirit.
@CliffordStumme One of the best lessons. I haven't been bored for a single second of the day since I started digging in to tøp. They remind us that our true battle is that of the mind. Break it apart and polarize it. You'll never be bored again and you'll crave those quiet moments.
@PeterMcMullen Even then... it's fake news. No one can hate Chick-fil-A. Take a look at the lines in that place... I worked there for a year, it's one of the busiest food places in town. Stupid California 🙄
@Elefthe06008691 @twentyonepilots@joshuadun@tylerrjoseph@CliffordStumme Ø is implying an empty set in math. Seems related to Tyler telling us we are vessels, that are not empty. Also graffiti on a train has the same connotation. Not empty, but intangible, what is seen is only the outside. Outside does not quantify value.
@CliffordStumme https://t.co/Pm8KFAMjiQ here's a great one, it's one of their older songs, but also one of their best. If you have a minute to dig deep, they are a lot of fun, really upbeat, extremely deep thinkers. They toured with reliant k back in the day too.
@CliffordStumme Have you listened to five iron frenzy? They have some incredibly deep lyrics for presenting as a silly ska band. Their song dandelions shaped my understanding of grace. They're pretty awesome, and they have a song called battle dancing unicorns with glitter 😆
@CliffordStumme Also, I only remembered after watching the video again... I was kinda in the video... 😆 Not in a recognizable way, but hubby and i were front row for the filming in Denver.
@CliffordStumme I just was reminded of a reason it could be his brother... He's making a counter story of Cain and Abel. He IS his brother's keeper. Maybe?
@gregsart@LeeStrobel@DailyKeller That suggests a frailty of religious institution rather than the frailty of God as a primary source. Human interpretation is diverse. We all have a perspective that filters what we connect to.
@gregsart@LeeStrobel@DailyKeller I absolutely love this video, and will be watching all of them. Her first five points are absolutely correct and important distinctions to be made about religion vs bible. Most people don't understand how to comprehend literature.
@gregsart@LeeStrobel@DailyKeller Yes, you choose to believe in science. Even though it has no proof for the origin of the world either. My belief is that God created the Earth and all on and surrounding it. That doesn't negate science. Science cannot disprove God but it has many times over proven a higher power.
@gregsart@LeeStrobel@DailyKeller That implies to me, that there is a source of wisdom apart from ourselves that desires our good. So I choose to live in faith that God is real
@gregsart@LeeStrobel@DailyKeller I'm a huge fan of all literature. The Bible speaks plainly of how people behave, and how God taught them to behave differently from what was normal. Those behaviors kept them fertile, strong and protected through thousands of years. Despite many attacks all the way to present day
