Started packing the first box for moving our lab to the new lab building @ISTAustria... Only another 60ish to go 😅
Still plenty of time to get some results before we need to pack up the experiments

Created a bot to post images from the experiment so we can all see if there is a particle still trapped @swaitukaitis@andreastoellner
Now I can watch the experiment while on holiday😁
@LeonReteig @TomRhysMarshall I remember taking an introductory programming course where they had us do something similar. I don't think people were surprised because we'd first learnt about algorithms for random number generators and didn't yet have expectations that the generator would be randomly seeded
With every celebratory bottle of champagne, we pop the cork at this ceiling tile, leaving a little dent each time. Each dent gets signed and dated.
Super proud of this obviously successful group of scientists and their very expensive champagne habit!
Experiment update: Everything has now been delivered for the experiment and I've started assembling things!😁Looking to submit an abstract to a conference with this photo of our sample chamber... still a work in progress
A nice empty optical table, a perfect place to build a new optical tweezers experiment to explore Tribocharging with the @swaitukaitis group! Excited to start unpacking all the new toys 😁
My talk for @SPIEevents #SPIEOpticsPhotonics with @halina_physics & @VolpeResearch describing how we use machine learning to speed up optical tweezers simulations is online/available on-demand part of the (free!) online digital forum.

Taking a break today, so I thought I would learn how to convert speech to text (and text to Semaphores) in Python https://t.co/6JLpm7mnc1
Almost ready for my production of Wuthering Heights brought to you by the International Guide to Semaphore Code😛
@mighty_lasagna@DaveVescio Bandwidth alone might not be the best measure, depending on where in the network the bottleneck is. If most of the streaming services use edge competing or do things like Netflix ( https://t.co/1t1XmVK4Mt ) gaming or VPNs might still be a bigger drain on the network
Less than a year until I should submit my PhD thesis, time to procrastinate... Had a go at putting together a CV website https://t.co/wK8V4fKkm7 and finally learnt how HTML flex layouts work so it should hopefully display nicely on mobile and larger screens
