This is why I really don’t get how people can defend capitalism. Why is this even allowed? Hurricanes and natural disasters happen and cannot be avoided. What can be avoided is companies legally being allowed to take advantage of citizens for profit.
This is the class divide that I talk about...
Some of us can't afford to go get gas, groceries and buy bottled water. For some of us, our paychecks haven't come in yet to do this. For many of us, are food stamps/SNAP benefits haven't come in yet. There's a lot of us where we just finished paying all of our bills and we have nothing left.
We can't even evacuate because we don't have money to leave. THIS is capitalism when natural disasters strike.
I hate the excuses people make for students using AI for writing, because if there's one place where it benefits you to admit that you don't know something, it's SCHOOL
Idgaf where you work, if you are working 40 hours a week you deserve to be financially stable. the problem is y'all mfs have elitism issues and don't want everyone to get there!
my mom told me the difference btwn compromise and settling is you have to still be getting what you want when you compromise. it’s a shared win. settling is being okay with not getting what you want and that’s self betrayal.
micheladas are not for me and that’s ok. that said, i am for some reason incapable of hiding my horror when i see someone heavy handing WORCESTERSHIRE sauce into their BEVERAGE
