Anyways after all the prep and side dishes, it was already 8pm and homemade tacos were unf postponed to Monday hahah so we ate hotpot leftovers but can’t complain bc hotpot is DA BEST!
Who else preps & thinks of their next meal when they’re eating their current meal?
I feel like I’ve cooked for 3 years straight at this point & can definitely say I love the airfryer and sous vide applicances. No mixer so I still knead and make bread by hand though LOL
Was too busy making sides for the tacos, chinese cold side dishes as roomie doesn’t actually love Mexican (yeah I know she’s weird). Then had to prep pizza dough for tmr’s dinner - auntie usually comes over for dins on Sundays (bc domestic helpers have Sundays off in HK).
Day 193 of #thecovidlife. Rainy with a 50% chance of homemade tacos.
Another day of 100+ confirmed infected unf. Stayed home all day except in the morning going out for a grocery run... got all the ingredients for tacos, corn salad, salsa and homemade tortillas!
Wasn’t able to catch who was talking on the news but he was in a white lab coat and he said that winter season might get even worse... OMG, can this nightmare end already?
On a jollier note, I just got a tour inquiry for June 2021, so hopefully this is all over by then!
Day 191 of #thecovidlife. Pouring rain with a chance of hotpot tonight!
So after lots of images, sad music with clips of people eating their lunches in randome area & cleaning ladies saying they eat lunch in the public washrooms, the dine in ban has been life after 24 hours.
But guess what? The government just reversed their restaurant dining laws, effective tomorrow, dining in restaurants before 6pm is now okay again. So the dining prohibition was only in use for 24 hours 🤣🤭😬
Day 190 of #thecovidlife. Sunny with no chance of going out. We never use our Twitter but I thought let’s journal our covid days on there, how about that?
Effective yesterday, rules in Hong Kong were tightened. Group sizes in public went from 4 to 2 & dining out from restaurants were completely banned. This is to try to flatten the curve as we’ve hit triple digits of infected cases for 8 days straight. This is our 3rd wave.
Should have done this journaling at the beginning. Would be entertaining to have seen all the back and forth between mask and no mask but 190 days in, we’re documenting this.
July 30 and we’ve been at home since Jan 23, 2020, 2 days before Chinese New Year. It’s not a mandatory lockdown but it’s a recommended safer at home. So at home we’re at.
@Trevornoah Hey, I just tweeted you and this is crazy,
but let us take you on a food tour, so call us maybe?
(We run food tours in Hong Kong so visitors can eat like a local! Perhaps you'll be interested next week before/after your gig on the 21st?)
