When their daughters are having my daughter over for a play date, they don’t see color.

When we’re BBQing in the summer, we don’t see color.

When our wives are all having brunch, they don’t see color.

When the dads are all gathered around outside the dance studio for our daughters (because we all refuse to go in), we don’t see color.

When we’re going to the range, we don’t see color.

Thought experiment.

Imagine one American state implementing nothing but mainstream Republican policies while mainstream Democrat policies are implemented in another state, both without objection.

Describe what both states look like in 25 years.

My hypothesis is that Republicans can predict that future with eerie precision while Democrats would have to change the subject or try to convince you their state would be fine.

Keep in mind that migrants would flood only the Democrat state, in unlimited numbers, all rich people would move out to get lower taxes, poor people would move in to get better benefits, no industry would enter, the tax base would plunge, schools would become underfunded, crime would surge, and race discrimination against white males would be the law.

We Americans like to think there is a big philosophical difference between Democrats and Republicans. But it's probably just a difference in understanding how anything works -- from math to human motivation -- which is partly explained by Democrats skewing younger and partly explained by their news sources being corrupt.
