Tried and proven!
I get it that it's typical human nature. People tend to learn through their own mistakes, rather than learn from others'. Unfortunate!
Capitalism doesn’t assume humans aren’t greedy. It assumes they are and refuses to give them power over others.
That’s the point.
Greed under capitalism is constrained by consent. You only get richer by offering something others voluntarily choose to pay for. If you stop providing value, the money stops.
Greed under collectivism is unconstrained. It’s backed by force. You get resources whether you create value or not, so long as you can moralize need or capture political power.
Also, capitalism doesn’t pit competition against cooperation. Competition is how we discover who can cooperate best. Every successful business is a massive act of cooperation with customers, workers, suppliers, and investors. It just isn’t coerced cooperation.
And the claim that capitalists never give back is empirically false. Private charity, philanthropy, reinvestment, and voluntary aid explode under capitalist systems and collapse under socialist ones.
What you’re really saying is this:
You don’t trust individuals to choose generosity. You trust the state to enforce it.
That isn’t moral. It’s just replacing voluntary cooperation with compulsory obedience.
Its funny, because the protests in Albania started by a landowner that was complaining why his land wasn't included in the development plan of Zvernec. An Albanian migrant who also holds a Greek passport, and the Greek state falsely portrayed him as "native" Greek in Albania.
@MarioNawfal I would seat this one out. Commentary not required. Clearly there's a hijacking of this situation and turning it into a "nature first" and corruption of the existing government (which I'm not saying is not possible) , but clearly for all Albanians that have been aware of this project since March of 2024, is bizarre that all of a sudden you see demonstrations and calling this investment both for Sazan and Zvërnec as something that Albania doesn't want or need. Where were this people 2 years ago? Why weren't this people on the street when similar projects for other protected areas have been announced? Clearly some one with an agenda is taking advantage and pulling some strings for a political gains.
@Beautiful_A_I@LandsknechtPike No special effect there... More like real effects. I just happen to see this movie again recently. The amount of efforts everyone put in to get this made is amazing. Especially given the fact that Albania just 5 years before, came out of the second world war completely destroyed.
@howard Have been following your updates since day one, when you launched. I love the transparency and really vested into your success (even though not an investor - unless you're open to it :))!
