E. Jean Carroll claims Trump assaulted her in 1995 or 1996. There is no way Trump can alibi himself, even if he has records of his whereabouts that old, because Carroll does not recall the date of the assault. There are no corroborating witnesses. There is no physical or documentary evidence.

The entire set of evidence against Trump in this matter is E. Jean Carroll's testimony and narrative. The jury finding against Trump is based on jurors in a city where Trump is widely despised deciding they believe her to a "more likely than not" standard.

Her allegation exactly mirrors the plot of a 2012 episode of "Law and Order: SVU," in which an offender assaults a woman who is trying on lingerie in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman. Carroll first published her narrative in 2019.

Can we just note this—The Bulwark and the New York Times heavily implied that Pete Hegseth’s tattoos that had nothing to do with being a Nazi were a massive red flag while Graham Platner’s actual Nazi tattoo was no big deal.

They ran interference for a man who had at one point so embraced Nazi ideology that he permanently marked his body with their most extreme symbol while at the same time heavily implying that a man who has never had anything to do with Nazis and roundly condemns them was guilty of white supremacy because of vibes.

The hypocrisy would be insane if it weren’t so predictable.
