Okay, this is a very unusual post for me, I understand how annoying this kind of thing can be and I apologize... but please hear me out.
Perhaps all this newfound exposure was meant for something good?
You see, for the past 2 decades I've been involved with charity work via the 501st Legion. I'm used to wholesome success stories... and seeing a fundraiser for a precious innocent kid fail is heartbreaking as it is, but now that I'm a new dad this particular case really broke me.
This sweet little boy, Artem, has... pretty much out of time. SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) has been sapping his life away while his entire future was cruelly just out of reach behind an astronomical paywall (Gene treatment for SMA is absurdly costly).
Now, the poor kid can no longer breathe on his own, is barely holding on, looks like a tiny skeleton and his helpless mom just wrote the most heart-rending apology... 😭😭😭
There's still a tiny glimmer of hope, and a bunch of good folks are trying to make one last push...
@siepomaga is a very respectable foundation I can vouch for. Unfortunately the site is in Polish, but it's really simple to figure out a basic donation via credit card and the options are super affordable, with 100PLN equating to a mere $23.
Remember episode 24 of Tales From the Tables where Angie, Eri and Red begged for a child's life? I feel like that moment is happening for real, and this is absolutely what Angie would do...
