@MichaelKovrig "Having spent 1,019 days in a CCP cell, I know something about how Beijing controls information."
Sorry could you explain how the one has got anything to do with the other?
@danzwku You're both as bad. Believing that you're correct does not excuse blocking. Complaining about being blocked brings nothing to the table. You both need to touch grass.
@heguisen Damn if you'd put any of the effort you put out on commenting on Twitter on actually helping the cross-strait relations imagine how productive you'd be!
@Omphals1 It's also the only non-graded learner book sold on Pleco for some reason. Not that Pleco is very convenient for reading but still nice to have in your pocket.
@AngelicaOung Byron Wan is quite literally the most unhinged China poster on Twitter. I think the dude's actually got some mental health problem. Any excuse is valid for him to spread more China hate
I hate white pro-Taiwan online warriors as much as I hate the pro-China ones. It's not about what you stand for, it's about you believing you have any day in these matters. Talk less, listen more.
@HeLiuLeo I hold the opposite belief that the diaspora is often wrongly being given an authoritative voice on China although they haven't set foot in the country for ten years. Not to mean that there is no value to them, but often they get outclassed by experts on most levels.
@HeLiuLeo I generally disagree with this and think it comes from a pov where you're trying to defend your own interests. The average Chinese diaspora doesn't know more about China than the average American knows about their own country. Diaspora or not you need experts.
Same with reading Hessler. Huge respect for the guy, but we are in 2026. It's not enough anymore, you need more people who are able to read first hand information in Chinese.
Not the first nor the last time I disagree with @Diplomat_APAC. You don't need to rely more on the Chinese diaspora. You need to build language learning schools so your citizens can go to China and learn about the country then bring that knowledge back. https://t.co/010zyEgplB
@WeiDaoDuzun3 One is written by a foreigner, the other is written by a Chinese person, then translated. I'll take the translation please, or even better, the original text.
@heguisen Even when met with the intent to have a genuine polite conversation, the white justice warrior can't help himself but add sarcasm to his words.
@NuryVittachi Absolutely nowhere in the https://t.co/Wgk0K7oJly article is it confirmed that the lobsters that came from Maine are at the origin of COVID-19 though, where do you get that info from
