@myamoako_blog@PlstneJerslem1@korrathetaymi Didn’t Jesus also change or reinterpret some Old Testament laws? Different prophets had different rulings for different times, so “Muslims don’t baptize” isn’t really a strong argument.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
@sodkeakskdm @wuiiuiuii @realmiyukii The Prophet pbuh literally said: “Whoever slaps or beats their servant, the expiation is freeing them.” (Muslim).
That’s not permission to abuse them. Islam restricted a system that already existed and pushed freeing slaves.
@sodkeakskdm @wuiiuiuii @realmiyukii The Qur’an commands giving slaves contracts of freedom (24:33) and repeatedly encourages freeing them. That’s not the absolute ownership you’re describing. You’re projecting modern chattel slavery onto a different historical system.
@sodkeakskdm @wuiiuiuii @realmiyukii Now you’ve moved the goalpost.
Your claim was rape is halal. You still haven’t shown that.
Saying “all slavery is wrong” is a different argument entirely.
@aasawapacchii@mh3hu@Ravensfan501@skrrtrock Islam distinguishes between fitrah and formal belief.Humans are born with a fitrah toward God, but being a Muslim in the legal sense requires accepting Muhammad as a messenger. So children aren’t “Muslim” by creed yet they’re not accountable either until puberty. Is that correct?
@bob_michael_69 @mh3hu@Ravensfan501@skrrtrock oh thats nice…. Is that the only reason u left the church? Didnt u have any doubts when it comes to other stuff like the actual scripture or trinity or original sin etc
@bob_michael_69 @mh3hu@Ravensfan501@skrrtrock Free will explains why disbelief is possible, not why it should be consequence free. By your logic God couldn’t punish murder either, because free will allows it. Free will gives you the ability to choose, but responsibility still exists
@bob_michael_69 @mh3hu@Ravensfan501@skrrtrock interesting…. Cus im pretty sure if someone believes in that one true God but then rejects prophet Mohammed pbuh then that person cant be a muslim. Or maybe babies r exceptions idk
