Kiva’s Bagel bakery was attacked by antisemitic terrorists in Toronto. Today I had a tasty bagel there to show my support. They were so welcoming, and Canadians showed up to support this small business. Just one day after the terrorist attack, it was more crowded than ever.

Unfortunately, the Canadian government has failed to keep the people safe against terrorism. I have lost count of how many times Jewish businesses have been attacked by antisemitic terrorists in Toronto. How many times have we heard the empty words from Canadian politicians that “There is no room for hatred in Canada”? We should hold all levels of government responsible. Mark Carney, Doug Ford, Olivia Chow, Myron Demkiw, Michael Kerzner, Doug Downey—you are all responsible.

Terrorist attacks on Jews are not just a matter for the Jewish community. This is a matter for all Canadians. We should have learned our lesson from history: the Jews are the first, and we are the next. Stand on guard for Canada!
