Last night, I had a nightmare.
Not the kind that leaves you screaming.
But the kind that leaves you questioning how well you really understand your own business.
🧵
I hated my job in the first year of my career.
I would cry, fall sick, dream of spreadsheets chasing me, and, most importantly, hate working weekends.
I was so close to resigning.
Thank God for my Dad.
He would ‘perspire to aspire’ me every day.
He would say something like: ‘Those that are enjoying the job, what are they doing differently? Do you want to find out?’
So I managed through that phase.
Once I was out of the woods, it built me into a beast.
The tough environment built me.
Now I can sustain the calling over my life while thriving at a demanding job, building a thriving business and nurturing a young family.
I can hold my ground and execute ruthlessly on anything in front of me.
Resilience is such a key skill that keeps you thriving through uncertainty.
@ayoolaa001@Pejuola_a I heard someone literally say that the girl really made a good point and that person is not under thirty years of age and I'm so sure.
Yes, the sky is wide enough for 2 birds to fly, more even.
But your problem, and the reason for your perennial defeat by forces you can barely name, is you assume that conflict among birds is about space.

Leave that dead city. Leave it.
It’s never gonna get better.
Everyone’s either lying to you, or they’re just too obtuse to see it.
Leave now and don’t look back, before you grow old and have babies in that shitty city (or country) where nothing ever happens.
