@arCtyC Please, if you are going to focus on one thing for 2027, give the players a proper ranked mode. As someone that has been playing this game for nearly 10 years, I feel that we are long over due for a better ranked system. DMs are open. No hate, just someone who loves Fort.

OCE got one-tenth of the players they usually get for their reload tournament a few hours ago because no one can rank up. There needs to be a change. Fortnite deserves a proper ranked mode. It is a disservice to the game and its players.

The way the current system is built does not reward eliminations and does not reward placement without eliminations, do you see the problem? It is impossible to rank up without sinking a ton of time into the game.

Zero build players think rotating is easy because you can build. Let that sink in.

Anyone saying this isn't a valid take is wrong. You have to realize that at a competitive level such as FNCS, any ZB pro who's qualified to be there will be better than a builds mode player. In builds, you can the ability to rotate without really thinking too hard about when and where to go because you can create your own cover. Of course rotation planning still exists and is still key to winning in a space like FNCS, but not nearly as much as ZB. You need to conserve bunkers, bubbles, look ahead for cover, bushes, locate other players hiding or waiting etc.

As someone who has played in both modes, I can say builds is easier to survive until endgame in a comp setting, whereas in ZB you need to try a bit harder and smarter. I've played in some of the sweatiest builds lobbies and the sweatiest ZB lobbies and ZB is always more of a "challenge" even though I've placed well in both. It would be super cool to see a 50 pro builds vs 50 ZB pro tourney happen to finally settle this debate. I think only time will tell. In my opinion, @QuantumCamper's take is a 10/10 here. Let me know if you agree or disagree, and who you think would dominate.

@oSyddFT Of the remaining players to win solo FNCS, you are technically correct. If you count solo all stars then it would be riversan or pamstou but I don’t believe either of them play anymore? Same with C2C3, between coop and vert, vert is the only one that still plays.

@Ajerss Server issue, Central ping has been horrible since the season began. Can’t believe it’s effecting people in Dallas now though. Last season I was getting 25-35 with GearUp and now I can’t get it below 40 with or without GearUp.

East coming back is going to make NA competitive again. More players are going to have lower ping and more stable ping because of better routing. East coming back will make the EU vs NA debate real again.

Also West kids won’t get 40 ping to Central anymore

For those who think this is fake, it is real. Solo reload FNCS will be played on a new larger map that will allow for more people to qualify to finals. EWC will have 20-30 teams qualify to finals. My reasoning? There is no way Fortnite would hold an FNCS Grands with 40 ppl.
