@bbyboysimon Honestly, I caught on pretty fast that it was a language thing. You can tell he got kind of lost in the middle of the interview were asking the question and he didn’t really know how to respond. I feel like you could tell that Eli was struggling.

this scene didn’t make it clear enough that it was a language issue for ilya? at no fault of the actors, imo the scene itself needed to be a bit different for tv. cuz people without book context thought this was ilya being anxious, shane stepping in, and that’s it.
