@Lfcbami3 He is not a rw. His stints ar rw last season is not that good.
At leverkusen, he thrived as a rwb where he can attack late or overlap with speed and have a rcb behind him to protect his side if he loses the ball.
As a rw, he doesnt have the same free space to run into

Not necessarily spectacular.
But after Newcastle, a controlled 2-0 with a clean sheet would tell us more than a chaotic 4-2.

This feels like last season where liverpool invested heavily in players of the same position (ekitike and isak) then they were left really thin in other positions

Barcola is good but they still havent solved the RW and no. 6 problem.

I still have doubts with the liverpool squad but im trusting the process.

It looks like liverpool still have a lot of players that like to play in the same area, that left side half space.
All those Left wingers, wirtz, ekitike and isak all thrive at the same spot

Final verdict:

Liverpool haven’t replaced Salah with Barcola.
They’ve signed one of Europe’s most dangerous young left-wingers.
If Barcola replaces Gakpo and a proper RW still arrives?
Then Liverpool’s attack goes from exciting to frightening.

The only real concern is the price.
Liverpool are paying elite-player money.

At that level, Barcola cannot merely be “very good.”
He’ll need to develop into a genuine 20+ goal contribution winger who decides major games.
The upside, though, is enormous.
