Also, idk why yall saying Tom Holland had the weakest performance when Charlize Theron was giving the most “yes girl, give us nothing” performance in the film.
My only issue with Nolan is that he didn't have Prince Telemachus take his shirt off at some point, with his handmaidens bathing him and oiling him up.
@brianchaley i think people forget that the odyssey/Iliad survived for 3000 years because of its colloquialism. theyre stories meant for the common person, to share and bond over. Emily Wilson, the translator Nolan used, talks a lot about how important the casual language is for this story
Tom Holland says he was nervous about acting against whoever was playing Antinous in ‘THE ODYSSEY’ until Robert Pattinson was cast.
“He's my safety blanket... we've made 3 movies together... I knew I could relax because he's so good at playing a dickhead.”

very very funny that Nolan and co realized Pattinson is so likable even when he’s playing a complete freak that they had to be like listen we really need to get the message across so you’re going to kick the dog. and then put it on a pile of poop
