Was delighted to attend Saaz-e-Bahar in Sher-e-Kashmir park today. Glad to see young Kashmiris come together to curate events promoting local entrepreneurs & craftsmanship. Encapsulated Gen-Z spirit at its best! A great start 😊
Glad that the ill conceived railway line running through fertile agricultural land spanning orchards & homes in Bijbehara & Pahalgam has been put on hold. Thank you @AshwiniVaishnaw ji for putting local communities & environment first.
He stood at Kath Baath with nothing but hope in his voice. Far away, behind prison walls outside J&K, his loved one waits. Every day thousands like him battle distance, poverty, and a system that exhausts their patience and faith. His story is a reminder of how an endless cycle of detention without trial itself becomes the punishment.
When a young Kashmiri shawl seller is almost beaten to death in Uttarakhand, no one comes to his rescue.But when the PDP attempts a peaceful protest against such atrocities, the entire police machinery is unleashed to crush the march.Kashmiris are caged within J&K and thrashed when they step out to earn an honest livelihood.
When even survival is treated as a crime, where are Kashmiris supposed to go from here? Are they even allowed to exist in New India ?
The "Reconciliation, Trauma Healing & Dignity Bill" is a promise to heal the hearts that ache, the souls that cry, the minds almost paralyzed by suffering & the lives shattered by prolonged violence in Kashmir.
It's for every Kashmiri who has borne the weight of pain, yearning for peace, justice, dignified life & reconciliation.
The assembly is the people's last hope for relief in Kashmir & the leaders chosen are the only agency. If passed, this bill could be a lifeline for those who have lost all sense of hope, feel broken, forgotten, alienated & cry out for handholding.
It was truly heartwarming to attend the wedding of Baji Muzaffar Sahab’s son, Basharat Baji, with Syeda Sara. We deeply missed Baji Sahab’s presence on this special occasion. May Allah bless the couple with a lifetime of happiness, harmony, and togetherness.
BJP leaders pose in mosques abroad and roll out red carpets for Middle Eastern sheikhs. But back home they watch with glee the shrine of Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah being vandalised. This hypocrisy is not accidental but deliberate.
Destroying symbols of harmony is easier than answering for rising poverty, mass unemployment and a future stolen from the younger generation.
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action,
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
Happy Republic Day.
Republic Day must be more than parades and speeches.
15 August 1947 gave us freedom from colonial rule, but 26 January 1950 gave us the constitutional right to live that freedom with dignity guaranteeing freedom of speech and religion, and above all the power to vote.
Our Constitution created strong institutions to protect these values. Today, many of these institutions have been weaponised to undermine the very idea of India .
PDP MLA Waheed Para today visited storm-hit villages across Pulwama to assess damage to homes and orchards. Standing with affected families, he assured all possible assistance and pledged to raise the issue of storm-induced losses in the upcoming Assembly session. @parawahid
