mizis outfit being so revealing, her seemingly unable to do anything but smile in zombie form, and the fact that we literally cannot make eye contact with her is a very in your face depiction of the objectification of female idols (also seen in the buildup of her career)
I think that Mizi herself was so adamant on staying with the toxic industry because even though the conditions were terrible, through prevailing, she could achieve her dream to be on stage with Sua. So when Sua voices her concern Mizi is upset, because she’s doing it for them.
it’s crazy how everything is similar and referenced to the canon universe but everything is just a tad bit off , mizi doesn’t return her affection as much and more antisocial versus people pleasing, sua isn’t controlled like nigeh and modelling in zombie au vs canon , it’s almost like their roles are reversed but aren’t at the same time
zombie stage further pushes alnst's critique of how idol culture turns humans into consumable products. audiences consume only the curated end result with complete disregard for the inhumane processes that produce it, all the while voraciously partaking in the spectacle itself
one of the earlier concepts of alien stage was mizi and sua wanting to become k-pop idols together, and i love how the zombie stage au puts another spin on that!!!!
they deleted heeseung from enhypen’s weverse/his profile can’t be accessed and he now has a seperate profile on belift’s website :( i’m gonna fucking cry THIS CANT BE HAPPENING
