@flurrimora the stark difference is reactions is just genuinely so upsetting cus now everyone suddenly knows how to give grace, empathy, benefit of the doubt, and understand nuance but didnt give that to hud
@HRpuckery it started when everyone started to pit the two against each other for no reason and nobody wants to admit but its because of racism and homophobia on both accounts. imo theyre threatened seeing a wasian man comfortable with his sexuality and boundaries getting love
It’s honestly ridiculous. In the queer series, the character is literally the CAPTAIN of the Boston team, and all they do is threaten legal action. But when it’s a straight series… lol.
idk, it’s just really… something. Choosing to do a campaign like this while ignoring the queer character who is literally the captain of the Boston hockey team, in a hockey series that blew up worldwide, literally during Pride Month… well, I guess the adaptation of The Long Game is going to be very telling 🤷♀️
“stop projecting the ‘smut show’ onto off campus” as if oc doesn’t also have a multitude of sex scenes + MORE nudity than hr, including full frontal
just say you see queer sex as inherently dirtier than straight sex & go
@hudconwhore the first thing i noticed how everyone suddenly had a sense of “privacy” and understood what“digging up the past” for gotcha moments meant now, and EXCLUSIVELY showed grace/understanding towards connor but when it came to hudson they were so quick to brand him as a n@zi.
i obviously dont think he is a white supremacist but i do think its weird as fuck the kind of things he engages with. my issue is with the way the fandom and so called "fans of both" receive such info and how its so different for both of them. its very telling and its racist asf
there's this moment in a french podcast that I love where chloé starts crying after talking about asian and autistic representation in HR, and says Hudson was so good in the role. They said seeing hudson everywhere will make people relate to him, which is why rep matters 🥲
@nidramas the tit for tat thing is egregiously petty, but seeing this happen in real time is so annoying that suddenly when it comes to connor everyone knows what nuance is and are disproportionately kinder to connor than they were with hudson.
