Had sex with a married co-worker without knowing he was married. I had just come out of an abusive marriage and a difficult breakup, and he said all the right things to make me feel cared for.
There was no ring, no family photos, and he never mentioned a wife. Then one day at his apartment, I discovered he had a wife and daughter. I felt sick and cut contact immediately.
I left the job soon after and moved on. Years later, he still occasionally emails me. I never respond, but seeing his name always reminds me of one of the worst mistakes I've ever been involved in.
@xedirts People with South Asia localization working overtime to get on my nerves Dua Lipa who until the other day I even tolerated despite the criticism, guys the wedding favor isn't gonna send itself chill out
@Fr_deadass I've been through this, the girl that was using his phone thought I couldn't tell that it wasn't him . I basically gave her the answers cause her stupidity pissed me the fuck off . 😂
Got into an Uber and said hello.
Five minutes later the driver was explaining why women need to be more submissive, why modern women are too obsessed with money, and how he'd "discipline" me if I were his wife.
Sir.
You're driving a 2017 Corolla and talking like you're auditioning to be a third-world dictator.
I stared out the window while this man turned a rideshare into an unsolicited relationship podcast.
The entitlement is fascinating. Some men see a woman sitting quietly and assume she ordered a TED Talk on male authority.
I didn't argue. I didn't engage.
I just pulled out my phone and started typing.
"Who are you texting?" he asked.
"My dad," I replied. "He's a police officer."
The silence that followed deserves a Grammy.
Funny how the urge to discipline women disappears the second another man might be involved. What sort of entitlement makes a complete stranger think a woman got into his car specifically to hear his opinions on female obedience?
Some men mistake proximity for permission.
I paid for a ride, not a manifesto.
I can’t lie, I was wondering the same thing recently. What kind of lives do they have now? What jobs do they work? Do they have families or kids? Do the people around them know about it? Did they become religious afterward? Are they still friends? And do people ever recognize them?
@TowardsSun22 This is just turning into ableism. I’m not against aborting a fetus that would be severely disabled, but looking at an actual person with Down syndrome and saying their parents must be miserable or that they should’ve been aborted is genuinely insane.
@TemiXo_1 If I found out my baby would be born with serious health problems, I'd make the same decision. The world is already tough, and I wouldn't want to bring a child into a life filled with pain and struggles from the very beginning.
