Sudeep Chatterjee on #Prabhas:
“You have to work with him to realize why people love him so much. There is just so much truth in his eyes. Not an iota of dishonesty.”
Coming from a cinematographer who has worked on films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Gangubai Kathiawadi and Chandu Champion, this is a genuinely special compliment.
According to Chatterjee, Prabhas’ honesty doesn’t just stay behind the scenes, it comes through the lens and reaches the audience.
That natural quality is a big part of why Superstar #Prabhas connects with people across India.

KGF Chapter 2 vs TOXIC — Hindi Market | Day 1 Analysis.
A fascinating comparison between two major Kannada films in the Hindi market.
Hindi Day 1 Footfalls
👉KGF 2 — 31.5 Lakh
👉Toxic — 18.8 Lakh
Hindi Day 1 Collection
👉KGF: Chapter 2 — ₹52 Cr
👉Toxic — ₹55 Cr
On the surface, the numbers tell an interesting story.
KGF 2 recorded around 31.5 lakh Hindi footfalls, which is approximately 12.7 lakh more admissions than Toxic. In terms of pure audience volume, KGF 2 therefore had a clear advantage.
However, #Toxic collected ₹55 Cr on Day 1, around ₹3 Cr higher than KGF 2's ₹52 Cr, despite having significantly fewer footfalls.
The key factor is average ticket price (ATP). Collections are not determined by footfalls alone; ticket pricing, premium screens, multiplex contribution and format premiums can substantially influence the final gross/net figure.
So, when comparing the two films:
👉Audience Volume: KGF 2 🏆
👉Raw Footfalls Advantage: KGF 2🏆
👉Hindi Day 1 Collection: Toxic 🏆
👉Footfall-to-Collection Efficiency: Toxic 🏆
In simple terms: KGF 2 brought a much larger Hindi audience on Day 1, while Toxic generated a higher reported collection from a considerably smaller number of admissions.
A perfect example of why box-office collection and footfalls measure two different aspects of a film's performance.

FUN FACT!
Numbers tell a very interesting story about Superstar #Prabhas and his unmatched audience pull. 🔥
#SAAHO had higher Opening Day footfalls than #ToxicTheMovie in Hindi.
Even more impressive, #SAAHO had higher Opening Day footfalls across India than #ToxicTheMovie.
And the comparison doesn't stop there.
#SAAHO Opening Day India footfalls more #Dhurandhar2 Opening Day India footfalls
Yet look at the worldwide opening-day gross:
#Dhurandhar2 — ₹240 Cr
#ToxicTheMovie — ₹140 Cr
#SAAHO — ₹129 Cr
The difference in gross is heavily influenced by ticket pricing. When you look beyond the headline gross and focus on actual audience admissions, #SAAHO's opening becomes even more impressive.
Years later, #SAAHO continues to show the sheer scale of Prabhas' theatrical pull.
Gross numbers can change with ticket prices, formats and market conditions.
But getting massive crowds through the doors is a different level of stardom.
And that's where #Prabhas remains in a league of his own. 👑
#Prabhas | #Yash | #Toxic | #Saaho | #Dhurandhar2 | #ToxicTheMovie
After #Baahubali2, Superstar #Prabhas collaborated with Sujeeth on #Saaho, but the film ultimately felt like a project built around scale, style and star power rather than a strong story and screenplay.
With #Toxic,s #Yash seems to have fallen into a similar trap. The film has ambition, production value, stylish visuals and some solid mass moments, but the writing doesn’t feel strong enough to support the scale of the project.
For a star of Yash’s stature, especially after the success of #KGF, the expectations are much higher. A big canvas and a larger-than-life presentation can create impact, but without a well-written story and engaging screenplay, the overall experience can feel underwhelming.
The comparison with #Saaho is not about the films being identical, but about the common mistake of prioritising scale and presentation over the fundamentals of storytelling.

#ToxicReview :
Toxic is an ambitious film that clearly wants to deliver a stylish, dark and larger-than-life gangster drama. It has the scale, production values and a leading man capable of carrying a film of this size. But despite all these strengths, the final experience feels uneven.
Yash is the biggest positive. He brings tremendous screen presence and carries the character with confidence and intensity. Whenever he gets a strong scene, especially the action and attitude-driven moments, the film comes alive. His performance gives the movie the star power it needs.
The action sequences are another highlight. They are presented with style and have the kind of theatrical moments that fans will appreciate. The film also looks technically polished, with impressive production design, cinematography and a dark visual atmosphere that suits its world.
The first half works better. The setup, character introduction and world-building create curiosity, and there are enough engaging moments to keep the momentum going. The film takes its time establishing its characters and conflicts, which works to an extent.
However, the second half is where the film starts losing its grip. The screenplay becomes less consistent, certain portions feel stretched, and the narrative doesn't maintain the same level of engagement. Some emotional scenes also lack the impact needed to make the audience fully invested in the characters.
The biggest issue for me is the writing. There are several good ideas and individual moments, but they don't always come together smoothly. The film tries to balance gangster drama, action, emotion and style, but the transitions between these elements can feel uneven.
The background score and sound design work well in the major sequences and help elevate Yash's screen presence. The technical departments have clearly put in a lot of effort, and the film benefits from its big-screen presentation.
But ultimately, Toxic feels like a film where the potential was bigger than the final execution. A tighter screenplay, sharper editing and stronger emotional writing could have made a significant difference.
What Works:
• Yash's screen presence and performance
• Stylish action sequences
• Production design and visuals
• Cinematography
• Background score
• Scale and presentation
What Doesn't Work:
• Uneven screenplay
• Slow and stretched portions
• Second-half pacing
• Emotional moments don't always land
• Some sequences feel longer than necessary
Final Verdict:
Toxic is not a complete disappointment, but it doesn't fully deliver on the expectations created around it. Yash, the action and the technical presentation make it watchable, but the inconsistent screenplay and pacing prevent it from becoming a truly memorable gangster drama.

Big question: 🚨
Will #Yash Break the Pan-India Success Curse with #ToxicTheMovie?
The real test for a Pan-India superstar is often the next film after a massive breakthrough. Can the star carry that momentum without depending on the same franchise?
Here’s how some of the biggest names fared:
#Prabhas
#Baahubali2 — Historic blockbuster 🔥
➡️ #Saaho - Massive opening, but mixed response
#RamCharan
#RRR — Global Pan-India blockbuster 🔥
➡️ #Acharya — Failed to replicate the momentum
#JrNTR
#RRR — Global Pan-India blockbuster 🔥
➡️ #Devara — Strong performer, but couldn't match RRR's phenomenon
#Yash
#KGFChapter2 - Historic blockbuster 🔥
➡️ #Toxic — The biggest test yet 👀
Unlike #KGF, #Toxic has to create its own identity, audience and franchise potential.
If #Toxic becomes a major Pan-India blockbuster, Yash will have proven that his success isn't limited to the #KGF universe.
Will Yash break the trend? 👀
