Government did not fear protest itself. What they feared was that people protesting were not divided as Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, or Buddhists they stood together simply as Youth of India.

What they feared most was unity.

They know that when people unite, politics based on division loses its strength, and citizens begin demanding accountability from those in power. That is what they fear.

No one is talking about this: If thousands of police personnel, CRPF, RPF and ITBP jawans could be deployed overnight at Jantar Mantar, why couldn’t same urgency be shown in Manipur?

Distance was never real obstacle. The pain, fear and cries of innocent people in Manipur deserved same swift response and attention.
