We caught up with Head Coach Jerry Nichols of Walters State following their win over Midland College.
With four players in double figures — led by Jamar Livingston (19), Taquez Butler (17), Carter Webb (17), and Brian Carter (12) — Coach Nichols broke down what opened up offensively and how their balance created winning basketball.
Put some respect on their name.
Walters State continues to prove they belong on this stage.
Coach Nichols also shared the message in the locker room as his group moves to 2–0 at the national tournament and prepares for the Elite 8.
