I remember something a friend once told me.
When I had TB:
“But you were the most careful among all of us. Always wearing a mask”
Now, after surgery:
“But you always eat healthy. You never eat weird stuff.”
It’s a reminder that you can do many things “right” and still get sick.

Thanks to the general anesthesia, I didn’t remember anything at all.
One moment I was awake, and the next, everything was blank.

When I woke up, everything felt different.
All good, though. I was doing my best to stay sane.

I took the day off today
I spoiled myself with the little things I love, going to the market, wandering through the supermarket
Later that afternoon, I visited the doctor
I thought I would be fine since it was the second time hearing the news
But somehow, it still broke my heart

Today, I made the decision to have them removed from my body.

To say I was afraid would be true, but surprisingly, I felt pretty relaxed.
