@JayStrellson @Nas_tech_AI And in the U.S., to qualify for "state-funded" health care, you have to make 133% less than the median wage for your state to even qualify (approx), even though lotsa the monies comes from the federal budget, in the end. So it sounds very similar in execution, but not the same.

@CollinRugg I think this will cause a schism in the Democratic party, not the Republicans. Thus, the Dems will do everything they can to monkey with the works. I'd like to see who joins the party before voting for anyone out of hand, but I support the idea of Americans having another option.

@julie_hart2 @elonmusk This is one of the balances set up by our Constitution to ensure that all states have the same number of votes. The theory being that areas of dense population will vote similarly, though most of the country may choose another candidate. We are a federation of states, after all.

But...it seems that only matters in local elections. The party, at least nationally, has quite a bit of growing up to do. In-fighting needs to stop.
