What happened during that intense run out in 2018? ๐
Shikhar Dhawan:
"I wasn't getting runs at the time and that day I was finally middling the ball well. Kohli got me run out. I was furious. It was the first time I used bad words on a cricket field.
Virat went on to score a hundred and celebrated aggressively. When he came back to the dressing room, I thought he would still be in that angry mood but he's the cutest person.
The moment he saw me, he made the most innocent face and said 'Mainu maaf kardo paaji' All my anger disappeared right there.
He hugged me tightly and I told him it was one of the best ODI innings I had ever seen. At that moment, I felt that if I had to get run out again for one of his hundreds, I would happily do it.
That's the kind of friend he is." โค๏ธ๐ซ
๐จโIN MY ENTIRE UMPIRING CAREER, I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN INNING LIKE THISโ๐จ
Question: Which batting innings have you enjoyed the most in your umpiring career?
Anil Chaudhary :-"The batting performance I enjoyed the most in my career was Virat Kohliโs unbeaten 82 against Pakistan at mcg in the world cup 2022. In my entire umpiring career, I have never seen an innings like this. That day felt unreal. Viratโs batting was on another level, and the way he took 3 runs after getting bowled on the free hit thatโs what you call pure game awareness."
