I know the broad science behind it. Optimized mitochondrial function blah blah blah. But after that 5k run – have to say I didn’t hate running as much as I did 12 weeks prior.
I’ve read and heard posts by @PeterAttiaMD about the potential benefits of Zone 2 Training. I hate running. So I decided to take the information at face value and apply it to my 12-week training program for a 5k run.
Sauna bathing is a form of heat therapy used mainly for pleasure, wellness, and relaxation. People in Finland apparently do up to 3 sessions per week. They may just be on to something – and it’s more than just about relaxation.
@AliAbdaal I would say leave it to the pros. The book “Build” by Tony Fadell (chapter 3.3 Evolution Vs. Disruption Vs. Execution) has been such great read so far. (Tony Fadell helped in making the different gens of iPods & iPhone) Seemed useful to plug into this thread.
@AliAbdaal The Pomodoro technique. Then during that 5-min window of rest…stare into something that exudes nature (trees, sky, clouds, even a nature-inspired wallpaper apparently). Only down side to that last one is you realize it’s been 3 hours since you last stood up.
@PeterAttiaMD mentioned that the steps towards health & life span longevity are highly based on the following:
1. Objective,
2. Strategies, and
3. Tactics.
