That’s cute, but the Ohio River Valley hate trapezoid is year-round turmoil. It isn’t tied to any one sport and the bad blood can sustain for years, or even generations, without any two teams playing one another.
I’ve seen relationships ended and people cut off family members…
not my photo, but unreal scenes from Oswego. Poor dude flipped last week at Fulton, so as a joke he put his numbers and sponsors upside down on his wrap. Then he flipped again, so everything reads right side up
Lee Pulliam got a top 20 and while he learned a lot, and it wasnt always pretty, said he thought he executed perfectly
He was especially proud of his first ever green flag pit stop
44 years ago today, Pat Summerall and John Madden called a Division-III college football game.
Wittenberg vs. Baldwin-Wallace
October 3, 1982
During the fall of '82, in the second week of the NFLPA's 57-day players' strike, CBS needed to get creative with its Sunday afternoon programming.
So on October 3, the network sent its top NFL broadcast team of Pat Summerall and John Madden to Springfield, Ohio to call Division-III Wittenberg's game against its rival Baldwin-Wallace — each school with an enrollment then of about 2,000 students.
Three other NFL on CBS broadcast teams were also assigned to call Division-III games that weekend.
Wittenberg, Baldwin-Wallace, and the Ohio Athletic Conference were each paid $10,000 for the game.
The video includes the CBS open and pregame introduction by Pat and John, the first several minutes of the game, and select highlights from this historic CBS broadcast.
A very rare and fascinating telecast — and quite a thrill for those players, coaches, students, and communities.
The infamous ‘98 Taurus that Don Miller and crew modified to get NASCAR to approve the new bodywork.
Looks absolutely wrong. Egregious shape on the tail compared to the real car for that year.
For $200, I’ll come over wearing a tool belt and a branded polo and tell your wife the renovation she wants to do is impossible because that’s a load bearing wall
