US golf course irrigation costs 10-18x the water requirements of all data centers in America. Paper mill production water use is 2-3x of all AI data centers in the US.

If water use is the concern, data centers use water primarily to remove heat from servers in a closed loop. Farms, textiles, beverage factories & golf courses consume far more water & permanently remove or contaminate it. Besides Mumbai and Thane receive >2000 mm rainfall yearly!

The only reason for Mumbai’s western express highway getting congested with 2 parallel metros and an excellent commuter rail services, is poor last-mile connectivity & walking access to rapid transit.

As questions mount over the quality of the newly inaugurated Mrinaltai Gore Extension Flyover, an internal civic vigilance inspection report of January 14, 2021 & also it’s compliance report of June 1,2021 which I accessed has revealed that inspection officials had flagged multiple quality control lapses, structural defects and record-keeping irregularities during the construction of the project back then.

The vigilance report paints a picture of poor supervision and inadequate quality assurance at various stages of execution, with observations ranging from surface cracks and honeycombing in piers to failed concrete strength tests and missing quality records.
