If someone claims to own content without officially representing the original owners (Viz, Shueisha, etc.) it just doesn’t sound legit. They also only flagged 3 videos instead of all, which just seems like an automated system screwing up. We’ll keep you updated.

Some of our Project Cherryton episodes got DMCA’d and taken down in their entirety. There’s likely no resolution as the “copyright holder” (we can’t verify they truly own the rights for Beastars) only responds with an auto reply insisting they won’t dispute and are in the right.

Project Cherryton is a fan-made manga dub, with original voice acting, editing and music remixes. The fact someone owns the “copyright” for fan content shows how broken the YouTube DMCA system is. But because we don’t own the rights either, there’s no chance for dispute.
