My colleague @lnolson and I are teaching an interesting class this semester: "Ray Tracing in One Semester", which is a homage to @Peter_shirley and co-authors excellent set of free e-books, Ray Tracing in One Weekend series :D

@Peter_shirley (and everyone) Question: we would like to build the ray tracer to have both classical and Monte Carlo capabilities. Are there good refs where some scene objects are classically rendered, some monte carlo? How to get interaction effects between the two objects?

@ziqiao_ma My review got flagged as well, and it was 5K+ characters. So I am a bit confused by their system. And I was an emergency reviewer on top (1 day turnaround!) 🙃 Although my AC who asked me to do the emergency review said they are not sure why the system sent out the warning.
