Marvel Studios' #AvengersInfinityWar and #AvengersEndgame aren't just movies, they are the event of a lifetime. They are a celebration of everything we love about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are truly the two greatest movies ever made. And they'll always will be. EVER.
I'm totally perplexed by this whole thing seriously. I've had a preference for Cab over Volpe for months now, after initially wanting to see Volpe start more than Cab coming into and towards the beginning of the season. But even then, my preference for one over the other can only be so moderate? How are people seriously acting like this is some clear cut, obvious decision for the Yankees to make?
Since June 1st (Judge IL):
Volpe Cabby
AVG .235 .211
OBP .316 .270
SLG .294 .367
wRC+ 77 76
K% 22.1% 28.7%
BB% 10.5% 6.5%
OAA (SS) +4 0
FRV (SS) +3 0
I just don't really understand what the whole stink over this is about? I have a slight preference for Cabby because I think he has an easier time lifting the ball in the air, driving in RBIs when presented the opportunity to do so, has more pop in his swing this year, and brings an extra edge to his game. But it's definitely not a deal breaker by any means like people are making it seem.
I think it's ridiculous people shade the Yankees for thinking this decision is clear. Especially for shading the Yankees for opting for the statistically better defender this year at SS in favor of using the utility player as a utility player when there were so many injuries.
This is why people say Volpe Derangement Syndrome. Nobody is here to say he's a good player; he's not a good player and deserves loads of criticism. It's disproportional, completely inexplicable degrees of criticism catered entirely around him and decisions about him when the other options aren't as clear cut as made seem.
Boone's not Girardi. Boone's never managed under George. Boone's not Billy Martin - he could never be. No one could in this era of baseball.
Why do we still get angry at Boone as a fanbase is beyond me.
Do we expect Boone to pick up a glove and bat and start playing thirdbase?
People will forever be mad that the Yankees didn't sign a shortstop entering 2023, and Volpe will get the blame.
Guess what? The 2023 Yankees would've missed the playoffs regardless. The 2024 Yankees WON THE PENNANT and Volpe had a good postseason. The 2025 Yankees won 94 games.
And now, EVERY shortstop contract signed that year is aging poorly. Imagine if this team had Trea/Xander locked in for another 7 seasons.
I love Jimmy and Jake just as much as the next guy -- but their takes and pushing towards a propaganda against certain players isn't what I expected from these guys.
Yes, Volpe is bad. Yes he should be in the minors but then who's your bench right now?
Cabby? Lombard Jr? WHO?
Millie Bobby Brown reveals she auditioned to play X-23 in Logan:
βI screentested with Hugh Jackman when I was like, 11 or 12β¦ I felt like I probably didn't get it, because I think there was someone else that was better.β

Not what I expected from Sony. Been a lifelong supporter and a bigger fan. My first ever console was the PlayStation. My first ever gaming experience as a kid was PlayStation.
I can proudly say I can still go back and play that game on my old PS.
This is not innovation β

Ben Rice since Aaron Judge went to the IL (25 games):
.194-BA
.275-OBP
.357-SLG

Rice didn't forget how to hit all of a sudden -- the best right-handed hitter in all of baseball who used to hit behind/in front of Rice went down with an injury.
Ben Rice isn't the problem
Yankees had the lead in the AL before the road trip.
The game catches up to you if you keep playing sloppy baseball.
Yankees are on a 5-game losing streak while Tampa is on 5-game winning streak.
This is a tough sport.
Yankees @ the Trop starting next week will be pivotal.
It's June 28 and Schwarber already has 30 HRs!!!
He's only 130 home runs away from the 500-HR club, and he's just 33 years old.
