Today marks the anniversary of the Naksa of 1967, when thousands of Syrians were displaced and 270 villages in the Golan Heights were destroyed by Israel.

غاب اسمه عن كثير من الحديث مع أنه كان في قلب المأساة.

عندما تُذكر فاجعة الدكتورة رانيا العباسي وأطفالها يمر اسم زوجها عبد الرحمن الياسين مرورًا عابرًا مأساة أب وزوج أيضًا.
ذلك الرجل عاش في لحظاته الأخيرة ما تعجز الكلمات عن وصفه رأى أسرته تُنتزع منه وشهد من الظلم والقهر ما لا يطيقه بشر... وهو عاجز عن حماية أحب الناس إلى قلبه. أي ألم يمكن أن يحمله إنسان وهو يرى زوجته وأطفاله يُساقون الى مصيرهم واحدة تلو الأخرى؟ وأي قهر أشد من قهر رجل حُرم من الدفاع عن أسرته؟
رحم الله عبد الرحمن الياسين ورحم زوجته رانيا وأطفالهما جميعًا وتقبلهم من الشهداء. فهذه ليست قصة أم وأطفال فقط، بل قصة عائلة كاملة اقتُلعت من جذورها، وقصة أبٍ لم ينل من الذكر والإنصاف ما يستحقه من الناس.

They were forcibly disappeared by Assad's Intelligence in 2013.

تنتهي اليوم واحدة من أكثر القصص إيلاماً وشهرةً في سجل جرائم نظام الأسد بحق الشعب السوري، قصة الدكتورة رانيا العباس، طبيبة الأسنان وبطلة سوريا في الشطرنج عدة مرات، والحاصلة على ألقاب عربية ودولية في اللعبة.

اختُطفت الدكتورة رانيا قسراً مع زوجها عبد الرحمن ياسين وأطفالهما الستة على يد المخابرات العسكرية عام 2013، ومنذ ذلك الحين انقطعت أخبارهم تماماً، ولم يُعرف مكان اعتقالهم أو مصيرهم. وبعد التأكد من استشهاد الزوجين، بقي الأمل قائماً بأن يكون الأطفال على قيد الحياة، لتبدأ رحلة بحث طويلة استمرت سنوات، وتكثفت بعد التحرير.

واليوم، أكدت الهيئة الوطنية للمفقودين توصلها إلى نتائج تفيد بوفاة الأطفال واستشهادهم، لتنتهي بذلك فصول هذه المأساة المؤلمة.

لم يكن الأمل مقتصراً على عائلتهم فحسب، بل شاركهم فيه كثير من السوريين الذين انتظروا خبراً يقلل من حجم هذه المأساة. حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل، رحمهم الله جميعاً وأسكنهم فسيح جناته.
