Excited to join @glaad’s IG Live today at 6PM ET for a #GLAADHangout with the brilliant Ahmad Maksoud (@fayums_muse)!
I’ll share how living in exile can offer a powerful rebirth, and how my nonprofit @TransAsylias is supporting trans asylum seekers advocacy, resources, and care.
🏳️⚧️💖In 2021, I received a call from Shiraz, a 19-year-old trans woman in Egypt, desperate and terrified. From that moment, she became my daughter. Her story of resilience and courage amidst persecution. Go to https://t.co/PjMNFLbPe0 to make a donation to see more stories like her
Another example of France often leading in Human Rights, Women's Rights, and LGBTQI+ Rights. France is the first country in the world to enshrine abortion rights in its constitution. 🇫🇷👏 https://t.co/33DR5XJOnT via @YouTube
“Marsh For Millions” was a massive protest. We are asking for peace now. And an end to the violence in Palestine. Let us all demand an immediate ceasefire.

It made history indeed! I was not expecting that from the Catholic Church, in their most prestigious place of worship in NYC. What a beautiful ceremony for @CeciliaGentili 💜❤️
Thank you @RepAOC ! Your voice, your tribute to @CeciliaGentili , added to the ones of @GovKathyHochul and @ebottcher further validate, if need be, her extraordinary advocacy, fearless activism, relentless work to protect and elevate marginalized trans, sex workers, undocumented.
Today, we remembered the life of Cecilia Gentili on the House floor. Her journey from Argentina to NYC, her advocacy for trans & undocumented rights, & her artistic contributions touched countless lives. Together we'll continue her fight for equality — especially for trans youth.
New York’s LGBTQ+ community has lost a champion in trans icon Cecilia Gentili.
As an artist and steadfast activist in the trans rights movement, she helped countless people find love, joy, and acceptance.
Our hearts are with her loved ones in this difficult time.
I am devastated. She was an extraordinary person, an inspiration to all of us, transgender activists. Most importantly she was a beacon of hope to the whole community. I will miss her dearly. 💜
