NEW - Ontario three opposition leaders have jointly signed a letter asking Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk to conduct a value-for-money audit and an environmental impact assessment of the Ford government’s decision to open up Greenbelt lands for development.
@AmitAryaMD It was an intentional step in causing crisis to justify privatization. People have suffered and died in the service of Ford’s plans. More will suffer since Ford is serving his donors rather than the people of Ontario.
@fordnation@SylviaJonesMPP@CHogarthPC Everything you do is about taking money from Ontarians and putting it in the pockets of your donors. Except for outright theft like the Greenbelt.
"The decision was unreasonable because the minister didn't follow the steps that he was legally required to follow and didn't consider the issues that he was legally required to consider," Laura Bowman (@ecojustice_ca) tells @mr_lois_lane #onpoli https://t.co/vRL2Uf4PbI
@CanadaGray@fordnation No wonder there is so much pressure to build gravel pits. A “free” resource that when taken away makes us all poorer but Fords donors so much richer. I believe Ford always acts in ignorance of the needs of citizens.
@CanadaGray@fordnation The common factor is taking something that costs the province nothing on paper like water or land and letting donors buy the goods cheap for huge profit. For water we likely almost give it away as well. Forcing municipalities to build roads etc. actually is plain evil.
